If you’re looking for a contractor who’s going to spend three weeks helping you pick out the perfect shade of "eggshell," you’re on the wrong website.
I didn't start Casa De RJ because I wanted to sit in a climate-controlled office and shuffle paperwork. I started it because I spent 15 years in the dirt and the sawdust watching "pros" take shortcuts that would make a homeowner’s blood boil. I saw a lack of backbone in this industry—guys who talk a big game when the sun is shining but hide in their trucks the moment a project gets tough.
I built this business for one reason: to bring work ethic and accountability back to the trades.
My "pedigree" wasn't earned in a classroom. It was earned swinging hammers in the freezing rain and scribing trim in million-dollar estates. If there is one thing 15 years on the tools teaches you, it’s humility. The second you think you’ve seen it all, a job site will find a way to humble you.
At Casa De RJ, we don't fight the house. We listen to it. We respect the materials, we respect the physics of the build, and we never—under any circumstance—walk away from a mistake.
We aren't the guys you call for a quick coat of paint to flip a house. We are the ones you call for the "Heavy Timber" and the "Custom Bones."

We specialize in structural beauty. We build decks that feel like fortresses and custom interiors where the wood grain tells a story. We stake our claim in the Bay Area, and we build things meant to outlast us.
Our "secret sauce" isn't complicated. It’s honesty.
We don't win jobs through "salesmanship" or shiny brochures. We win because we tell you the truth about your budget and your timeline—even if it’s not what you want to hear. When we’re on your property, we treat it like it’s our own mother’s home. That means when we leave for the day, you won't find a stray nail, a scrap of lumber, or a cigarette butt.
"Cheap work is the most expensive thing you will ever buy. You can pay for it once, or you can pay for it forever. We do it right, or we don't do it at all."

Working with me isn't a hand-holding exercise through a thousand paint swatches. It’s a collaboration. You tell me what you need, and I’ll tell you how we make it indestructible. It’s a coffee-stained napkin sketch that actually works in the real world.
If you want someone to sugarcoat the process or give you a "too good to be true" estimate, call the other guy. My calendar fills up fast with people who value their time and their home.
If you want it built with a backbone, let's talk.
